Bamboo backed bows are very popular. They offer the advantage of a tension strong back (the bamboo), and allow us to use a form to glue the bow together into various shapes, calculated to impart the bow with great shooting characteristics.
We offer these bows in several designs and overall bow lengths, to suit your shooting style, draw length, and personal preferences. They can be built with or without a built up handle riser.
Below are unbraced and braced photos of one my favorite designs. These photos are of the 48″ Kids’ version (24″ maximum draw). We offer the same design up to about 56″ long (up to 28″ maximum draw). Longer draws and heavier draw weights available with yellow bamboo backing only. Handles on adult versions are contoured leather, wrapped and stitched with a leather cover. Built up leather arrow shelf available by request.
